>> 1 | FOR THE WINE LOVER WHO WANTS TO FEEL GOOD IN THE MOMENT (AND THE NEXT MORNING)
Dry Farm Wines, Natural Wine Club. I still can't get over this one. The team behind Dry Farm Wines believes wine enjoyment is an important part of living well. (And, so do I!) Their expert team searches the globe to find world-class, pure, whole, and natural family farmed wines that are low in alcohol and statistically sugar and carb-free. Why is this awesome? Because wine-ing down at night shouldn't have to take away from the next morning. Dry Farm Wines operates under the belief that it's possible to feel good in the moment -- and the following day. (As in, no headaches, no hangovers, and no sleepless nights!)
>> 2 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO COULD USE AN EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP
Weighted blanket for better sleep. Ever go to the dentist and have a lead apron placed on your chest during X-Rays? Or get an MRI done only to receive the same treatment? (You know, lead aprons, and blankets, and more blankets?) Ever remember feeling especially relaxed after a few minutes propped up like this? Maybe you notice your breathing slows and your body seems to release a bit? This is the type of experience a weighted blanket provides. (Minus the terrible dentist office -- or an actual MRI tube.) According to Weighting Comforts, weighted blanket users get an experience similar to a deep tissue massage... the pressure aids in releasing serotonin in the body. (Serotonin is a hormone that gives us a sense of well being!) Weighted blankets are known to be calming, cozy, and comforting -- and helpful for those of us with symptoms of anxiety and depression.
>> 3 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO LOVES TO SEEK JOY, NOT APPROVAL
The Joy Seeker Tee, Eff Perfect Apparel. The brains behind Eff Perfect Apparel believe failing at being perfect is actually the greatest possible success. Jenna and Ashley are on a mission to inspire and empower women to love themselves wholeheartedly (regardless of perceived imperfection) and want to build lives based on love, acceptance, and truth -- not what society says we should be. As self-proclaimed recovering perfectionists, Jenna and Ashley won't stop until they help every woman around the world give the middle finger to perfection! Shop everything at Eff Perfect Apparel... but take an extra moment to soak up the "Joy Seeker Tee". It was literally made with the Wellness Boulevard audience in mind (how cool is that?!) and fits like a (very cozy) glove.
>> 4 | FOR THE MOM WHO DESERVES A MOMENT (OR TWO) TO INDULGE
Primally Pure Spa Kit. Because we're firm believers that #fewerisbetter! The products at Primally Pure are formulated using real ingredients derived from nature for maximum purity and potency. In other words, these are truly safe skin care products that also offer real, recognizable results. The Spa Kit specifically is perfect for a mom, friend, sister, or daughter who deserves an extra moment (or two!) for herself. The kit includes a dry brush, body oil, sea soak, flower bath salt, and an organic bag to keep all these indulgent beauties together. According to Primally Pure, use this kit to detox and soften the skin, exfoliate, soothe sore muscles, relax the mind, and even reduce the appearance of cellulite over time. Grab a kit for your loved ones here!
>> 5 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO IS ALWAYS COLD (NO MATTER WHAT)
Lunya Cozy Pima Alpaca Pullover. Thermoregulation to help maintain a comfortable body temperature. Hypoallergenic for those ladies with sensitive skin. Moisture-wicking to keep moisture away from the body. And above all? Comfortable and luxurious and perfect for chilly evenings and slow, festive mornings! This soft and lightweight knit is great for our (always cold) friends. And maybe also for those of us looking for a little sweatshirt upgrade!
>> 6 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO LOVES LEARNING ABOUT THE LATEST & GREATEST
Mind Over Medicine. Curious about the mind-body connection? Or about how our beliefs can influence our reality? This book by Dr. Lissa Rankin is one of my favorites. Dr. Rankin dives into our innate ability to self-repair (the desire the body has to return to homeostasis) and how we can optimize these self-healing mechanisms through the power of the mind. From the placebo effect to the nocebo effect to the importance of environment and quality care... this book helps us discover where things might be "off" in our lives so that we can piece together a truly holistic treatment plan.
>> 7 | FOR THE GIRL WHO LOVES CLEAN HANDS -- BUT CAN NEVER KEEP 'EM MOISTURIZED
Puracy Liquid Hand Soap. This might be an odd gift to include in a post with 28 gift ideas for the wellness fans in your life. After all, it's literally soap. But here's the thing! After a recent move with way too many storage boxes, I quickly learned what are my non-negotiables in terms of products around the house. I.e. This favorite non-toxic and hypoallergenic hand soap. I'm a girl who washes her hands frequently and this product has made a huge difference in keeping them healthy!
>> 8 | FOR THE MOM WHO FEEDS AN ARMY (OR THE COLLEGE KID WHO LOVES CONVENIENCE)
Thrive Market Membership. It's like a Sams Club for wellness! I love the access to quality ingredients all in one place -- and how each membership sponsors a free membership for a low-income family. Plus, the prices on maybe 80% of the products are better than I can find in stores or through Amazon. (Though, not all prices are better, so definitely do your homework.) Because of the access to "healthy" foods and the convenience of placing an order from my home, I end up shopping at Thrive a couple of times a month. Start your membership now (and get 25% off your first order).
>> 9 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO CRAVES ALL THINGS PUMPKIN ALL THE TIME
Alluring Argan Body Wash. A friend of mine passed this company on to me a bit ago and I tested out the Argan Oil and Pumpkin Body Wash. It's a new staple of mine... I love that Acure creates plant-based skincare products that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free! (Plus they smell great and actually work!)
>> 10 | FOR THE WOMAN ALWAYS ON THE MOVE
The Pranamat. This has been my most loved (and surprising!) moving essential. As we spend hours each day moving items, cleaning the house, staging furniture, and packing boxes, I find myself craving a few minutes alone with this mat each night. My calves tend to ache a lot during seasons of stress and extra activitiy - and this self-massage tool has made a world of difference in both keeping me going and helping me sleep at night. This is great for anyone who's often active, whether through formal activity or the busyness of life.
>> 11 | FOR ALL OUR WARRIORS FIGHTING A HARD FIGHT
Adaptive Clothing. (Think: Functional products to make life easier... like easy on/off shoes, pull on pants, post-surgical wear, and magnetic closures.) There are a few companies I've found making waves in these ways: Zappos, Tommy Hilfiger, and MightyWell. Plus, there's an extra special place in my heart for this last company (MightyWell) because they've designed functional PICC line covers, Med Cases, and Wellness Wear that is great for longer hospital stays or even medicinal infusions. I've got my eyes on this wrap!
>> 12 | FOR THE INGREDIENT-CONSCIOUS FRIEND WITH A BIG SWEET TOOTH
Paleo On The Go Strawberry Vanilla Cake. Few things in life are better than this cake. That's a big statement -- but it's one I believe. This is a 100% AIP-compliant cake. (Which means it's also paleo, grain-free, and gluten-free!) Does a friend have a birthday coming up? Looking for a healthier dessert option to bring to a holiday party? This two-layer vanilla cake with a sweet organic strawberry filling will. hit. the. spot. Pro tip: This is not always in stock. I don't why, since it might just be the best thing on the menu. So, consider ordering multiple at once. Use the code "wellnessboulevard" for $15 off!
>> 13 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO LOVES LONGER NIGHTS AND COZIER DAYS
Beeswax Candles. I can't put together a guide with 28 gift ideas for the wellness fans in your life without mentioning one of the most timeless self-care essentials: a candle. A few years ago, as the nights were getting longer and the days were feeling cozier, I was looking for a candle alternative that would leave me feeling well both in the moment and later on. I wanted a less-toxic option for a practice I loved. These candles hit the spot and (since I was still living in Texas at the time) I felt great supporting a local shop!
>> 14 | FOR THE ATHLETE, BOTH PROFESSIONAL AND CASUAL
A foam roller. The amount of stress on the body = the total sum of stress in our lives. (P. 159 The Paleo Approach.) Which means... we add up the amount of stress placed on the body from exercise + the amount of stress from chronic illness + the amount of stress from daily life + any stress from life transitions or difficult seasons. That can be a lot of stress, right? Since stress can lead to inflammation, and inflammation is related to chronic illness, we want to be careful not to move out of short-term stress (which solo can improve the immune system) and into chronic stress (which has a significant effect on chronic illness). One way to do this is to actively schedule in time for rest + relaxation. The foam roller is one of my favorite tools for building in this recovery period and relieving muscle tension. (I also use a Pranamat, body massage stick, and lacrosse ball!)
>> 15 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO NEEDS CONVENIENCE WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Daily Harvest Smoothies. This is a secret dream come true for me! I say secret because it took me a long time to admit I'm not good at (a) smoothie recipes, both creating or following, (b) buying every ingredient actually needed for a fun smoothie recipe, and (c) using all those ingredients before they go bad. So, this is where Daily-Harvest comes in. (And why it changed my life!) From smoothies to harvest bowls to soups and lattes, Daily-Harvest is on a mission to bring "convenience without compromise". They deliver pre-portioned, frozen items to the home on a weekly or monthly basis. For my first box, I took the monthly route with 23 smoothies and 1 latte. My favorites so far? Cherry + Acai, Strawberry + Peach, and Ginger + Greens! AMAZING. Click here to grab your first box (and even get 3 free!).
>> 16 | FOR THE DREAM CHASER WHO'S ALWAYS TAKING NOTES
This journal. Journaling / writing is one of the tools for anxiety that works best for me. (I talk about it in this video: what to do when your heart hurts.) I keep EVERYTHING in between these pretty little pages... from work to dreams to got-to-dos.
>> 17 | FOR THE MOM TRYING TO HELP HER KIDDOS EAT HEALTHIER TOO
Hail Merry Snacks. Can I get a HAIL YAS for snacks with quality ingredients that also taste delicious? Hail Merry's cookie dough bites and lemon tarts are two of the best snacks I’ve EVER had -- and I'm not just talking about snacks made with ingredients I love. Even my husband, who has never liked any of my non-traditional snack choices, is a fan. (I may or may not buy at least 5 tarts each time I go to Sprouts...)
>> 18 | FOR THE FRIENDS WITH EVEN THE MOST SENSITIVE SKIN
Primally Pure Deodorant and 100 Percent Pure Makeup. I switched to natural deodorant about a year and a half ago. So, on the days I actually use deodorant (whoops.. did I just admit that?), this lemongrass deodorant is what I'm going to grab! It smells awesome, it works, and best of all it's safe to use. Speaking of safe, I also wear 100 Percent Pure makeup. (It's especially great for my extra sensitive skin.) A few favorites? This bronzer in Cocoa Gem, this foundation in Golden Peach, fruit-pigmented blush, green tea brow builder in Soft Brown, and Lightly Sun Kissed all-over glow!
>> 19 | FOR THE TEA LOVER WHO ALSO CARES ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT
BYTA Traveling Coffee Mug. Traditional mugs are great... there are probably 20 sitting in my kitchen as we speak. Buuut, there's just something about a tumbler that can go wherever you go and keeps your coffee (or tea or wine... no judgment here!) warm. I love these insulated mugs for daily use, long commutes, and as a fun gift for friends!
>> 20 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO DOES A LOT OF LAUNDRY
Puracy Natural Stain Remover. I hadn't ever loved (or even regularly used) a stain remover until this wonderful solution came into my life. You don't need to use a ton of this non-toxic product in order to see great results... and you might have a lot of fun watching spots disappear before your eyes. (We're talking makeup stains, and bright pink globs of something you sat in one hot summer day, and everything else!)
>> 21 | FOR.... WELL, ALL OF US
MeUndies. This is always the first self-care step I recommend. (And the one that often gets the biggest bang for your buck.) If you're diving into what it might look like to practice self-care -- or if it's been awhile since you've updated any piece of your wardrobe -- consider swapping out a few things in your underwear drawer. A little really does go a long way here!
>> 22 | FOR THE GIRL WHO SPENDS A LOT OF TIME HUSTLIN' ON THE COMPUTER
Felix Gray Computer Glasses. Know someone who spends a lot of time on the computer? Maybe even a friend who shares tales of headaches or eye strain because of it? Consider these (magical) glasses! After wearing these for months, I won't go even an afternoon without 'em. (I wear Faraday in Sazerac!)
>> 23 | FOR THE WOMAN IN NEED OF A LITTLE TLC (& STRESS RELIEF)
The Wellness Boulevard Membership. I can't put together a gift guide without mentioning my favorite ever wellness gift. >> 24 | FOR THE GIRL WHO LOVES FRESH FLOWERS ON HER NIGHTSTAND
Marbled Bottle Vase. Keep beautiful, fresh flowers on the nightstand or kitchen island with this gorgeous marbled vase by Eliana Bernard. This has forever been a staple of my favorite things gift guide!
>> 25 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO CAN'T TRAVEL ENOUGH
Lunya Restore Travel Kit. Bundled up together in a mesh laundry bag, this travel kit features Lunya's Restore Base Tank, Long Sleeve Crew, Pocket Legging, Sleep Mask, & Sock. Lunya shares that the fabrics used in this restore kit were designed specifically to help increase blood flow and oxygen levels in tissue (translating to faster recovery and improved circulation). All important things when hopping on long plane rides!
>> 26 | FOR THE TEA LOVER WHO ALSO ENJOYS TIME IN NATURE
Herbal Element Tea. A mix of fire, earth, air, and water, each Herbal Element tea blend is uniquely made to grow the understanding that Nature has all we will ever need.
>> 27 | FOR THE GIRL WHO LOVES FASHION (AND SUSTAINABILITY)
Lamini William Beanie. Made to elevate the fashion industry through lucurious, sustainable materials that make women feel beautiful and that are also healthy for the skin.
>> 28 | FOR THE FRIEND WHO LOVES NOTHING MORE THAN A GOOD BOOK AND A WARM BATH
"Mantras in Motion" book by Erin Stutland and Primally Pure Sea Soak. Precious salts, seaweeds, and clays relax sore muscles and provide the skin + body with vital minerals. Organic essential oils of eucalyptus, peppermint and spearmint help restore the body and mind. And if you want to take your experience even further? Grab Erin Stutland's new book... perfect for the friend needing to get out of her head and into her body.
